Pastor Liang Peng
Pastor Liang Peng have served as one of the pastors of
Mt. Olive Chinese Church since July, 2005.
Pastor Liang Peng was born on a farm in Illinois, and grew up in Tucson, Arizona.
He went to college and seminary in Wisconsin. He graduated from the seminary in 1986.
He have had many teaching opportunities in his ministry,
including teaching positions in Lutheran high schools in Wisconsin, and now also training Asian men and women for ministry.
Since 1992 he have been teaching in the Asian Ministry Training Program of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary,
and have had students who are Hmong, Laotian, Japanese, and Chinese.
Today he also serve as president of this training program, and as such,
coordinate the training of Asian men and women around the U.S. and in Asia.
Pastor Liang Peng also have had many opportunities to do mission work.
His first call was to start a new mission church in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Since 1996, he have served as mission coordinator for new missions with
the Hmong, Laotian, and Japanese people in the U.S. and in Asia.
He is thankful to be serving Mt. Olive Chinese Church,
where we have great mission potential in the Twin Cities,
and can reach out to Chinese people in many places.
